Overnight Shipping Policy and Limits of Liability
1. Ordering:
Orders must be placed in person or by phone to (866-949-6005), or E-mail: bonita@paradiseshrimpcompany.com .
Orders for our standard shipping kits (1-6) placed by 4pm EST will be shipped the next day or on a subsequent day of your choice. Custom shipping orders will be shipped according to availability of the product ordered.
It is very important to supply the correct shipping address, including name, street and apartment numbers, city, state and zip code, and recipient’s telephone number.
2. Payment:
We accept Visa, MC, American Express, and Discover cards
3. Packing:
We ship perishables in re-useable Styrofoam containers encased in corrugated cardboard boxes. The contents are refrigerated with re-useable frozen gel packs. We include sufficient gel packs to keep the interior of the container cool for the transit time required for Fed-Ex to deliver according to the Priority Overnight delivery schedule.
4. Shipping Method:
We ship perishables via Federal Express. All packages are shipped “overnight priority” where available or “standard overnight”. We will notify you by E-mail or phone message when your order is shipped. Order tracking information will be provided for your convenience.
5. Shipping Costs:
Standard shipping kits (1-6) include all shipping costs and fees. A description of the standard kits can be found on our web site (www.paradiseshrimpcompany.com/shipping.php).
Custom shipping order charges depend on the size and weight of the container. The sales associate can give you an estimate of the shipping charges when you place your order. Fed-Ex also has shipping fees (fuel surcharge fee, residential delivery fee and others) which will be added to your order. These fees average $11.00 per shipment.
6. Delivery:
Delivery is available Tuesday through Friday. Saturday Delivery is available to some areas for an additional charge of $20.00. We currently ship to the 48 contiguous states of the US only. Shipping to Alaska or Hawaii, or to foreign countries is not available.
Fed-Ex will not require a signature to deliver the package. If the destination is a single family residence, Fed-Ex will leave the package at the door at their determination. However, if the destination is an apartment or condo, shipments must be received by a person or have a front desk or office where the package may be left. In either case, we recommend that you unpack the shipment as soon as possible and store the contents in the refrigerator or freezer accordingly. Do not store the contents in the shipping container.
Since the supply of fresh seafood is not certain, delivery of fresh seafood depends on availability. We will contact you directly if we cannot fulfill your delivery request.
7. Limits of Liability:
Paradise Shrimp Company is not responsible for packages that Fed-Ex cannot deliver on time due to weather conditions.
Paradise Shrimp Company is not responsible for packages which Fed-Ex cannot deliver on time due to incorrect addressing, provided that we addressed the package with the address as supplied by the customer.
Paradise Shrimp Company is not responsible for packages not delivered on time which were scheduled for delivery during the 14 calendar days before Christmas or New Year’s day.
In addition, Fed-Ex defines a number of “Perils” including natural disasters which may cause them not to be able to deliver, and for which they are not responsible. Paradise Shrimp Company adopts the same definitions and limitations of responsibility caused by these ‘Perils” and natural disasters as Fed-Ex. A list of these can be found at www.fedex.com.
8. Our Guarantee: We ship only the highest quality seafood. But, if you are not completely satisfied with your order for any reason, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery and we will replace your purchase or refund your money where appropriate.
